RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – A 34-year-old man was killed after being ejected during an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike this morning, according to the Daily Voice.
The accident happened in Ridgefield Park, in the southbound lanes of the highway near Route 46, at about 7 a.m.
34-year-old Newark man Jose Minaya was operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee when he crashed into the concrete median. He then went into the right guardrail, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Minaya was ejected from the Jeep during the crash and died at the scene.
No other people were reported as injured.
Authorities closed the left lane for a time as they worked the accident.
