LAKEWOOD, NJ – A 3-vehicle crash killed one person and injured three others in Lakewood on Saturday, according to NJ.com.
Authorities say the collision took place around 9:00 p.m., near the intersection of Route 9 and 9th Street in Lakewood. A passenger car travelling north on Route 9 attempted to turn left onto 9th Street when the vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer. Then, the tractor-trailer veered into the oncoming lane traffic, hitting an SUV travelling south.
One of the SUV passengers was killed in the impact. Three other passengers sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Police continue to investigate this crash.
