FRANKFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ (SUSSEX COUNTY) – Three people, including a New Jersey State Police Trooper, were injured during a head-on collision on Route 206 yesterday.
According to NJ.com, the crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in Frankford Township, near mile marker 110 on Rt. 206.
The driver of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, 23-year-old Jonathan Kozmoski, of Milford, Pennsylvania, reportedly turned left in front of a Trooper transporting a prisoner in his patrol vehicle. The two vehicles collided head-on.
The Trooper, identified as Michael Clifford, his prisoner, 35-year-old Newton resident Angel Belcher, and Kozmoski were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Kozmoski reportedly sustained a concussion, while Clifford suffered non-critical wounds in the crash. Belcher sustained minor injuries.
All three victims have since been released from the hospital.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
