HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – Police apprehended an unlicensed driver who attempted to flee a Washington Township crash scene on Sunday morning.
According to Daily Voice, a 29-year-old woman from North Bergen crashed a 2018 Honda CR-V into a utility pole near the intersection at Washington Avenue and Van Emburgh Avenue at about 5 a.m.
When police arrived, the woman, wearing sandals, jumped out of her vehicle and ran around the police car away from the scene. She was apprehended after giving up the chase and sitting down.
The woman has received summonses that included leaving the scene, unlicensed driving, careless driving, and driving an uninsured and unregistered vehicle.
