NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – A man from Edison has been charged in connection to a fatal accident in Middlesex County late Thursday night, according to NJ.com.
The crash occurred on Route 1 at around 11:30 p.m. when the accused, 21-year-old Arsalan Gul, allegedly crashed an Infiniti sedan into a Honda Civic driven by 32-year-old Robbinsville man Brian O’Donnell. The Civic was then pushed into a Lexus SUV in the next lane.
O’Donnell was taken to Robert Wood Johnson hospital, where he died of injuries sustained during the crash.
It is unknown if the driver of the Lexus was injured in the crash.
Gul was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and another substance and was taken into police custody at the Middlesex County Jail.
He is facing multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated and second-degree vehicular homicide.
