BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A couple of hundred power company customers lost power when a driver struck a utility pole in Upper Saddle River on Monday.
According to Daily Voice, a 71-year-old driver was going west of Lake Street when the accident happened. He lost control of his Chevrolet Tahoe Sturbridge Drive at about 10 a.m.
The driver was not seriously injured, however, the utility pole split in two and the power lines came down.
About 200 people lost power and the pole needed to be replaced.
