BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two juveniles were taken to a hospital Friday afternoon after a minibus accident on the Garden State Parkway in Paramus, reports Daily Voice.

New Jersey State Police said the incident occurred off of the northbound parkway on January 13, at around 12:30 p.m.

According to authorities, a Greenwich Country Day School minibus was traveling northbound when a driver in a nearby Lexus made an abrupt lane change. The driver of the minibus swerved to avoid a crash, causing the bus to run off the roadway and across the southbound lanes before it landed in a ditch with a flat back tire.

Of the nearly two dozen teen passengers on the minibus, two were transported to an area hospital for injuries considered non-life-threatening. No one else was reported hurt.

The scene of the minibus crash later led to a chain-reaction crash involving rubbernecking drivers on the northbound parkway.

Multiple teenage passengers were interviewed by NJSP as part of an ongoing investigation.
