2 critically injured after Toms River house fire

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A man and a woman suffered critical injuries after a house fire in Ocean County Monday evening reports local media.

Emergency crews responded to the fire at Mount Everest Lane around 8:45 p.m. The two victims were flown to Cooper Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston to be treated for critical burn injuries.

Several first responders, including three firefighters and a police officer, were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
