MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – The identity of the young New York woman who died in a crash that injured four others in Carteret on Friday night has been released.
According to NJ.com, an Acura hit another car then crashed into the guardrail along the New Jersey Turnpike near Interchange 12 at about 10:25 p.m.
The 18-year-old passenger in the Acura was not wearing a seatbelt and died from her injuries. She has been identified as Kaytlen Niver.
The Acura was being driven by 28-year-old Bilah Edmundson, who sustained minor injuries. Another unbuckled passenger sustained serious injuries and the two other passengers also were injured.
The accident is still being investigated.
