ELIZABETH, NJ- A house fire at a home on Parkway Avenue killed one person Tuesday afternoon, according to local media sources.
At approximately 5:55pm, firefighters were called to the area of 852 Parkway Avenue due to a two-alarm house fire.
Damarys Vasquez, who was approximately 70 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. Most of the building was engulfed in flames. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
